Rick Crawley
Rick Crawley, founder of Achilles Heel Tactical, brings over ten years of combined experience in the military and law enforcement. Born and raised in Ohio, Rick’s career is a testament to his dedication to training others for the worst day of their lives.
Military Background
As an infantry Marine, Rick completed three combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). During those deployments, Rick’s marksmanship and ability to lead under pressure stood out as a squad leader and scout sniper team leader.
Law Enforcement Career
After separating from the Marine Corps in 2017, Rick transitioned to a career in law enforcement. He served as a SWAT team member, Patrolman, and OPOTA-certified Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor. His real-world experience in high-stress situations has made him a sought-after instructor, specializing in pistol and carbine training for professionals nationwide.
Founder of Achilles Heel Tactical
Rick launched Achilles Heel Tactical to provide high-level firearms instruction to civilians, military, and law enforcement personnel. Through AHT, Rick developed two renowned training events: Rx Range Day and Ohio Range Day. These multi-day events bring together leading industry partners and hundreds of students to foster a community dedicated to advancing firearms skills.
Rick’s commitment to improving shooters’ mindset, tactics, and skill is the cornerstone of AHT’s training programs. He has personally trained thousands of students nationwide, helping them enhance their shooting performance and confidence in real-world scenarios.
